Open Mic Night
Every 2nd Thursday of the month (October – June) | 8pm Start
Unleash your talent at our monthly Open Mic Night! Whether you are a singer, musician, poet, or comedian, our stage is open to everyone. It is strictly "plug in and play," so grab your instrument, bring your friends, and enjoy a brilliant evening of local entertainment. All performers and spectators are warmly welcome!

Treat yourself to an absolute bargain with our fantastic Set Lunch Menu. Perfect for a midweek catch-up or a relaxed weekend bite, our menu changes monthly to showcase the freshest seasonal flavours.

Woofers and Wellies Welcome!
We often get asked if four-legged friends are welcome at The Bear, and the answer is a resounding yes! We absolutely love dogs here, so much so that we even have our own pub dog, Bertie, who is the newest member of the Bear family.
Because we are a cosy, little village pub in a beautifully dog-friendly area, we don’t have separate dog-free zones. However, we want all of our guests to feel completely comfortable. If dogs aren't really your thing, just let us know when you book; we will happily pop you at a nice, quiet table with plenty of space away from our furry patrons.

We love to spoil your pups! When you visit, you can expect:
- Fresh water bowls at the ready
- Plenty of delicious dog treats behind the bar
- A warm welcome from the team
A Note on Bertie: For those who might be a little unsure around dogs, please don't worry! Bertie only comes down to say hello outside of peak food hours, so he won't be a pest while you are enjoying your meal.
